If you’re in town between the 21st-24th March be sure to visit the tenth annual Mediterranean Fair at the Hotel Minčeta on Babin Kuk. The fair of healthy food, medicinal herbs and green entrepreneurship brings together.
This year’s event organised by Dubrovnik Sun, in partnership with Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the City of Dubrovnik, and the Croatian Chamber of Economy as well as other local organisations.
This specialised event has become an important fair in the field of ecological, traditional agriculture and other environmental entrepreneurship. The campaign to make Dubrovnik-Neretva a GM free food producer has its roots at the fair when the idea was born in 2005 at the event.
A series of educational panel discussions, lectures, presentations will be held over the three days and visitors can shop the many locally grown products on offer .
New products will be presented at this year’s fair including hybrid electric vehicles, eco-furniture and clothing made from natural materials. The Days of Honey event will be held as part of the fair along with the promotion of the trademarks “Authentically Croatian” and “Croatian Quality” awarded to high-quality local products.
