69th Dubrovnik Summer Festival Programme Presented

Dubrovnik Summer Festival team announced its 2018. programe for the 69th festival which will be held from July 10th last until August 25th. Complete, once again rich programme, can be found here.

In 47 days, at around 20 ambient locations, approximately two thousand artists from all over the world will perform in more than eighty drama, music, dance, folklore and other programs to audience of 60 thousand visitors.
Programme was presented this week at the Excelsior hotel by Ivana Medo Bogdanović, Executive Director of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Dora Ruždjak Podolski, Artistic Director, Saša Božić, Assisant Artistic Director for Theatre, Karolina Rugle, Assistant Artistic Director for Innovative Cultural Practices, Mayor of Dubrovnik Mato Franković and Žaklina Marević, representative of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Ruždjak Podolski spoke about the success of withdrawing EU funds promoting the younger generation of actors and networking of the artists, stating that the festival dives into the new year without fear and counting on citizens of Dubrovnik.

Executive Director Medo Bogdanović presented the budget. It consists of 14 million kuna planned for this year’s festival – of which public funds are slightly less than 9 million, and Dubrovnik Summer Festival revenues and revenues from tickets amount to 2 million kunas, while their sponsors and donors supported them this year with almost 3 million kuna.
