The Gypsy Table is coming back to Dubrovnik for a dinner event unlike any other you have ever experienced. Join them Friday, June 9th from 19:30 at a secret location to be announced 24 hours prior to the dinner. For this dinner the Gypsy Table wanted to do something very unique.
‘Many of our Dubrovnik Gypsy Table guests work tirelessly in the travel and tourism industry here and we wanted to give them the opportunity for a much needed ESCAPE! Since the reality of taking a Caribbean vacation are practically impossible in the season, we decided to bring the tropics to you! So, join us as we present… A Taste of the Caribbean in Dubrovnik’, said organizers.
Enjoy a night full of Food, Drink, Music and Mystery with a Caribbean twist. As with all Gypsy Table dinners, it is our mission to showcase the best Croatian products, however this time we will be blended them with elements taken directly from the shores of Jamaica and beyond. Richard Gruica, the creator of Gypsy Table, whose parents are Croatian was born in Jamaica. He is a classically trained chef, whose speciality happens to be Caribbean-Fusion cuisine.
Joining him the night of the dinner is famed Miami based Chef Cindy Hutson, who owns numerous Caribbean restaurants and is known as one of the best chefs of gourmet Caribbean cuisine. She is visiting Croatia on a chefs tour with Captivating Croatia.
They will be joined by Barcelona based Chef Joel Serra, founder of the Papa Serra Culinary Adventures, where he collaborates on pop-up dining tours around the world and we are lucky to have him joining ours.
As with all other Gypsy Table dinners, we feature some of the most talented Croatian culinarians and this Gypsy Table dinner is rounded out with Chef Damir Šarić, the Executive Chef at Restuarant Stara Loza and Pastry Chef Lucija Tomašić who is the head of the pastry department at Restaurant Sesame Dubrovnik.
They will also be featuring a special surprise guest Chef to be announced at the dinner!
Another Dubrovnik addition is the Gypsy Table being the 1st official event for the brand new Dubrovnik based Dubrovnik Beer Company…’We love to support local as much as possible’, they said.
Another element of each Gypsy Table event is our focus on local charities. For this event the charity is the Ginekološko-Porođajni Odjel od Opća Bolnica Dubrovnik and a portion of the proceeds will be donated after the event.
