Dubrovnik’s teen tennis star Ana Konjuh is going from strength to strength at this year’s US Open.
The 15 year old Ana defeated American Kaitlyn McCarthy 6:3, 7:5 to secure a place in the third round of the junior Grand Slam competition. Her next opponent will be 14 year old Catherine Cartan Bellis from the US.
There was success for Ana in the doubles competition also where she has secured a place in the second round following her defeat of Lombardo/Paolini 6:1, 6:7 with her partner Antonia Lottner, from Germany.
The pair will go on to play Szabine Szlavikovics from Hungary and Katherine Ip from Hong Kong.
