Bavarians Interested in Dubrovnik Winter Festival

More than 200 people visited the presentation of Dubrovnik and our winter tourist offer held on November 3rd in München.

Dubrovnik Tourist Board in cooperation with Merkur, the biggest Bavarian broadcaster, touroperator ID RIVA and tourist board presenters made the interesting public event with music, traditional meals nad promotional video, multiple award winner ‘Dubrovnik & Time’.

Director of Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Romana Vlašić, invited our Bavarian friends to Dubrovnik, and the Croatian General Consul in München, Peter Uzorinac, was a special guest at the event.

Coordinator of the Dubrovnik’s Tourist Board Department of Communications, Sandra Milovčević, held the presentation about the offer we have for our visitors in general, pointing out the magical Advent time.

Croatian chef Branko Ognjenović made the buffet table and a little speech about the gastronomical offer of our country, and the Trio Adriatica made the great atmosphere with traditional Dalmatian songs.

Tourists from Germany make a significant part of overall tourist traffic in Dubrovnik. In 2015, they were on the 3rd place counting the total number of visitors, while this year they were on the second place with 55 408 arrivals and 214 710 overnight stays, which is 8 percent more than in the same period in 2015.

Presentation of Dubrovnik is part of the promotional campaign in Bavaria, with the aim of promoting Dubrovnik’s tourist offer via Merkur media, and this year’s aim is to promote Dubrovnik Winter Festival.
