Third capoeira weekend will be held from today to Sunday, October 11th at several locations around the city. The rich program includes a completely free classes for beginners of capoeira, the Brazilian workshop of Jongo dance and music lessons on traditional Afro-Brazilian instruments.
Free classes will be organized on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday in the sports hall of the elementary school Marin Drzic, classes of capoeira will start at 1:30 pm, and on Sunday at 2 pm. The central event of the festival will be a public lecture about capoeira which will be held on Saturday at 9 pm in the Lapad bay (Cafe Promenade). The festival is organized by a non-governmental non-profit Association ‘Capoeira Amazonas Dubrovnik’.
