The gorgeous City of Cavtat deservingly found itself in the company of 20 ‘must-see’ European locations competing for the coveted title of “Europe’s Best Destination in 2021”, organized by European Best Destinations (EBD). This lovely medieval town located just 20 km south of Dubrovnik in the region of Konavle is best known for its beauty, serenity and rich cultural history.

Apart from Cavtat, this year’s nominees are also Vienna, Rome, Kefalonia, Paris, Lofoten, Canary Islands, Gibraltar, Capri, Cornwall, Dordogne river valley, Tahiti, Soča river valley, Tubingen, Cappadocia, Ghent, Kotor, Sibiu, Braga and Florence. Voting will take place via this link from January 20 to February 10.

Following the course of coronavirus pandemic in Europe, EBD also grants destinations with extremely low incidence of Covida-19 the right to use the logo of the “European Safest Destinations 2021”, which Cavtat already proudly uses due to the exceptionally positive epidemiological situation from the very beginning of the pandemic.

The European Best Destinations portal is a European organization based in Brussels with the main goal of promoting European culture and tourism. With the help of its readers, the EBD had picked the best European destination in various categories for 12 years now and had promoted them throughout the years to millions of travellers.
