Croatian Pag Cheese Named Best In The World

Croatian cheese factory Sirana Gligora from Kolan, on the Adriatic island of Pag, has been awarded with the highest award at the World Cheese Championship in Wisconsin, America. The cheese called Paški Sir iz Maslinove Komine was declared the best in the world in the “Hard sheep milk cheese” category.

This Croatian product competed and won over 2619 other cheeses from 22 countries. The cheese quality was discussed by 50 international judges who, after detailed evaluations, unanimously decided to give the gold to Croatia.

This prize is a great validation to Gligora cheese factory but also a special prize to Croatia.
