Dubrovnik celebrates a new record – three million overnight stays!

With cake and music in front of the City Café, Dubrovnik yesterday celebrated a new record – three million overnight stays, from January to the 21st of October.
‘This record is the confirmation of the quality of tourism in Dubrovnik, but we are moving on. We want to extend the season to all 12 months, and we have already launched a marketing campaign this winter’, said the director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board Romana Vlasic.
‘We have increased the number of arrivals this year to 850,000. Hotels will have a 4 percent growth this year, private accommodations achieved 900 thousand overnight stays. We expect to achieve four million overnight stays by 2020. Our goal is to be the highest quality Mediterranean destination’, said the mayor of Dubrovnik Andro Vlahusic.
