Dubrovnik continues with positive trend of tourist numbers

After record results in 2014, when Dubrovnik was visited by 863,801 tourists or 12% more than in 2013 and has reached the number of 3,121,125 overnights or 9% more than in 2013, Dubrovnik heads into 2015 with active tourism results.
In the first two months of 2015 Dubrovnik was visited by 19 999 tourists, which is 9% more than the in the same period back in 2014.
Of the total number of visitors in January and February, there were 14,560 foreign and 5,439 domestic tourists. They had 54,902 overnight stays, which is similar to January and February in 2014. The greatest number of guests was from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Korea, Japan, USA, UK, Germany, Albania, Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Interestingly, there was an increase in the number of tourists from certain foreign markets, which shows a shift in the winter tourist visitors. Namely, Bosnia and Herzegovina had 9% in arrivals and 5% in overnight stays, The Republic of Korea 27% in arrivals and 35% in overnight stays, Japan 85% in arrivals, and twice as many nights, USA 14% in arrivals and 36% in overnight stays, United Kingdom 7% in arrivals and 12% in overnight stays, Germany 39% in arrivals and 65% in overnight stays, Slovenia 17% in arrivals and 32% in overnight stays, Italy 7% in arrivals and 20% in overnight stays, and Austria 43% in arrivals and 96% in overnight stays.
