Mayor of Dubrovnik, Andro Vlahusic opened the newly built tennis court Tennis Club Dubrovnik. The new, fifth in a row, terrain has fulfilled the last condition for the organization of a major international competition, after more than 50 years.
That means Dubrovnik has finally met the existing conditions for receiving a larger number of children, club members and amateurs, who will be playing tennis all year round.
On this occasion mayor Andro Vlahusic announced that Dubrovnik will soon get two halls on the same grounds where current fourth and fifth fields are. Dressing rooms, sauna and fitness center will be build directly underneath terrains.
´Dubrovnik is the cradle of tennis. When I see the joy these children feel, I do not have the slightest doubt that we are on the right track´, he said.
