Once again this winter, as a festival town Dubrovnik will be transformed into a magical place adorned and illuminated by thousands of lights, a city filled with holiday spirit and ambience, as well as song and joy.
Together with the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, cultural institutions and public companies, the City of Dubrovnik has prepared a colourful cultural, entertainment, gastronomic and musical program for all ages and all visitors.
The fourth edition of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival will begin on 2 December 2017 with the lighting of the first Advent Candle and will take place until 6 January 2018. Lapad Bay will transform into a skating rink, while during the festival, the park at Pile Gate will become the ˝Bear Park˝ for children. For Dubrovnik’s visitors during the winter months, the Tourist Board has prepared ˝Winter Saturday Mornings in the City˝, and there is also New Year’s Eve, the Christmas Fairy Tale, a rich music program, the New Year’s Day race and many other events.
The travel connections between Dubrovnik and the rest of Croatia, Europe and the rest of the world have never been simpler than this winter when the well known company Turkish Airlines will connect Dubrovnik and Istanbul four times a week, Croatia Airlines with Zagreb three times a day and Frankfurt three times a week, and there will also be flights to London, Rome and Barcelona.
