Dubrovnik Recognised for Sustainable Tourism
Dubrovnik has once again found its place among the world’s destinations recognised for sustainable and responsible tourism. For the second year in a row, the city has been included in The Travel Green List™ 2026, published by Wanderlust, one of the most respected British magazines dedicated to travel and sustainable tourism.
Now in its fourth edition, The Travel Green List™ brings together destinations, organisations and projects that stand out for their commitment to more responsible travel. This year’s selection was made by an international panel of experts, who reviewed hundreds of initiatives from around the world.
A Continued Commitment to Responsible Travel
Dubrovnik’s renewed inclusion on the list highlights the city’s ongoing efforts to develop tourism in a more sustainable way. In recent years, the city has placed increasing emphasis on preserving its cultural heritage, improving the quality of life for local residents and managing the destination more responsibly.
For a city whose global appeal is closely tied to its historic centre, UNESCO heritage and unique way of life, sustainable tourism remains one of the key challenges — and priorities — for the future.
