Next year the production company HBO will build a studio and a theme park in Dubrovnik, on the territory of 50,000 square meters, Mayor Andro Vlahusic said to journalists.
‘Negotiations have begun, we went to America and arranged the details’, he said.
The project was launched by Fabiola Beracasa, granddaughter of the media mogul William Randolph Hearst, who recently got married in Dubrovnik.
HBO has wholeheartedly accepted her idea, because Dubrovnik is their muse from 2011. In the Pearl of the Adriatic they made a few seasons of the Game of Thrones series, and soon they will start filming the fifth season of the famous TV show.
