The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra members decided to publish their works, performances and recordings of music from their homes via the official Facebook page of the Orchestra with a noble mission to send the music to everyone during this difficult time. First published video was Luka Sorkočević’s Symphony in D major No.3, II Andante recorded by the musicians in their homes.
Orchestra’s hornist Toni Kursar played the theme “May the force be with you” from the movie Star Wars from his window in the Old Town, creating the unique atmosphere fusing the music and the city.
Next performance will be the one by cellist Mihaela Čuljak who will perform the composition ‘Lutkica na dar’ (The Doll as A Gift) by one of Dubrovnik’s famous contemporary composers, mo Đelo Jusić.
Some of the concerts are already published online, as well as the old photos, interesting stories from the history of the Orchestra etc.
