‘Tourist’ numbers for Dubrovnik say: 28 495 visitors stayed in Dubrovnik from 1st to 28th of February or 92 percent more than in the same period of 2018, according to the eVisitor system. Data from the nautical services are excluded. There were 49 397 overnight stays , or 38 percent more than last year, Dubrovnik Tourist Board Office confirmed.
Top list of the February guests says: Croatia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, USA, Sweden, Korea, Belgium, China, Finland and Denmark, and of the total number of tourists in February, 25 779 guests were staying in hotels, or percent more than last year. They made 38 178 overnight stays – 49 percent more than in the same period last year.
In private accommodation there were 1 809 guests, which is an increase of 14 percent compared to February 2018, with 6 993 overnight stays or 2 percent more than in the same period last year.
This is the result of the connection with seven European destinations and the charter program of senior group arrivals from Scandinavia and Germany, organized by WTouristic Travel Agency, Karaci Group and RSD Reisen from Germany. With them, over 30 thousand tourists will come to Dubrovnik before May 11th.
In total, from 1st of January to 28th of February 2019, there were 45 408 arrivals, which is 69 percent more than last year, with 87 899 overnight stays, or 24 percent more. The top five countries with the largest number of tourists in Dubrovnik since the beginning of the year are Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Korea and the United States.
Dubrovnik Neretva County Tourist Board also marks the excellent results during the February – there were 31 401 arrivals or fantastic 58 percent more than in February 2018. Visitors made 68 791 nights or 25 percent more than in February 2018.
During the first two months of 2019, 50 557 arrivals were recorded in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County with 122 982 overnight stays. Compared to 2018, arrivals increased by 46 percent and overnight stays by 19 percent.
Most of the overnight stays were made by guests from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Korea, the United States and China.
