Good News for Swimmers
The latest sea quality testing in Dubrovnik-Neretva County has brought excellent results just as the summer season gets into full swing.
According to the second regular testing carried out by the Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, seawater samples were taken at 127 beaches between 1 and 11 June 2026. All tested beaches met the required standards for bathing water quality.
Most Beaches Rated Excellent
Out of the 127 tested beaches, the sea was rated excellent at 124 locations. Two beaches received a good rating, while Ponta Žali in Mokošica was rated satisfactory.
The results are especially useful for visitors planning beach days in Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Konavle, Župa dubrovačka, the islands and other coastal parts of the county.
Where to Check the Results
Detailed results are available through official online platforms, where beach quality is shown on interactive maps with colour-coded symbols. These include information such as sea and air temperature, salinity and wind direction.
For travellers, the message is clear: the sea across the Dubrovnik region remains overwhelmingly clean, safe and ready for swimming.
