Exhibition in MOMA Dubrovnik: A Vision of ‘Tourists’

This Thursday in MOMA Dubrovnik (Dulčić Masle Pulitika Gallery) an exhibition of works named ‘Tourists’ by renowned graphic artist Kristina Restović was opened. It will stay open until Sunday, June 30th. Through her work Restović speaks about the ‘touristic’ Split, her hometown, and presented graphics dating from 2014 to 2017 are actually the final product of one, essentially performative act by the author – the research of the movement of tourists, their paths and their presence within the same routes where she was walking too.

About the works: Restović’s graphics are created on the basis of her computer-generated and artfully-modified photographs, which are then mirrored by the author on the zinc plate and subjected to her primary graphic media, classical bakeware and dry needles. The curator of the exhibition is dr.sc. Rozana Vojvoda, senior curator of the Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik, and you can read more about author here.

The exhibition photo gallery is made by Miho Skvrce.
