Bild.de, one of the most important and extremely popular portals in Germany, has published an extensive report on winter camping in Croatia, as reported by the director of the CNTB Representation in Germany Romeo Draghicchio.
The author of the article is journalist Helene Schmidt, who spent almost two months with her camping vehicle camping around Croatia in winter. The main goal of this project is popularizing this form of vacationing during the winter months in Croatia. Schmidt stayed in our country from mid-November to mid-January and enjoyed various gorgeous destinations from Istria, Lika, Zagreb to Dubrovnik. The trip served as an inspiration for her ‘Nine reasons for winter camping in Croatia’.
Her first reason for visiting Croatia is of health nature, where she mentions Lošinj as an ideal destination for all who have respiratory problems. The mild winter climate with unexpecting episodes of strong bura wind that purges your very soul took the second place. The third and fourth reason describe the absence of big crowds in the streets, on ferries, in museums and other attractions, but also significantly lower prices compared to summertime. The very important fifth reason is the hospitality of Croatian people, and the sixth refers to the rich sports offer and infrastructure in the form of bicycle, hiking and mountaineering trails. Fabulous gastronomical offer is always a big part of someones desire to travel the world, making it the seventh reason to come to Croatia. The list concludes with an attractive and high-quality wellness offer and the magical ski trails Germans love so much, as reasons number eight and nine.
“This is an excellent report on the Croatian camping segment. In addition to nine reasons for a winter visit to Croatia they also list 20 attractive camps from all over Croatia that are open to guests during winter,” Draghicchio pointed out.
