First Glimpse of the New Nicolas Cage Movie Filmed in Trsteno

After wrapping up of the first scenes of the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal’s new blockbuster ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ this Monday morning at Villa Šeherezada, a part of the film crew moved to the beautiful village of Trsteno, about 20 kilometres north of Dubrovnik.

Trsteno was one of the main filming locations for the HBO mega popular ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Borgia’ series precisely because of its exceptional beauty and century-old plant arboretum that serves as the perfect backdrop attracting filmmakers from all over the world. During the morning, a significant amount of film equipment was brought to the filming site, alongside a striking Porsche and Land Rover, while they filmed their first scenes near the sea bellow this lovely village. It is interesting to mention that the filmmakers donated 15 thousand kuna for the purchase of construction materials that will decorate the churchyard around the church of St. Vid in Trsteno.

The film ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ is the latest movie of the Lions Gate production, directed by Tom Gormican. The plot of the film revolves around Cage, who will this time embody himself on the big screen, making Dubrovnik once again the Mecca for filmmakers.
