For the First Time in History, Dubrovnik Marks Four Million Overnight Stays

According to the e-Visitor registration data system, Dubrovnik has achieved record tourism results during the period from January 1st to October 31st 2017. Exactly 1 133 602 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik, which is 16 percent more than in the same period of 2016 and there were 3 849 844 overnight stays, or 14 percent more than last year.

UK, USA, China, Japan…

Most of the visitors were from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Croatia, Australia, Sweden, Finland and Ireland, and according to the submitted data from Tourist Board of Croatia, by October 31 there were 36 034 arrivals and 250 738 nights. The peak of the season was on October 21st when, first time in the history of Dubrovnik, we realized four million overnight stays, including e-Visitor data and nautical data.

In October only there were 102 775 arrivals or 13 percent more than in 2016, with 341 053 overnight stays or 11 percent more. Top October visitors were from the United Kingdom, Germany, USA, France, Finland, Croatia, Korea, Canada, China and Japan.

Hotels

In Dubrovnik hotels from January 1st to October 31st there were 605,024 guests, an increase of 6 percent compared to the previous year and 2 042 459 overnight stays or 4 percent more than last year. Most of the guests came from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, France, Croatia, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Austria and Australia.

Private accomodation

In private accommodation there were 381,170 arrivals, or 29 percent more than in the same period last year, and 1 337 111 overnight stays, which is 24 percent more than in 2016. Most of the guests came from the United Kingdom, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Italy, Norway, Canada and Sweden.
