In the last five months, Dubrovnik increased overnight stays in comparison to 2014. 13 500 guests are currently residing in Dubrovnik and the hotel facilities are fully booked…
Namely, according to statistics from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, from January to the end of May Dubrovnik has reached total 212,911 arrivals and 642,093 overnight stays.
The number of arrivals has increased by seven percent, the same as the number of overnight stays in the period from January to the end of May 2015. The month of May has also been more successful than last year’s – it has 106,877 arrivals and 348,204 overnight stays which is six percent more than in May 2014.
The most numerous guests of Dubrovnik since the beginning of the year are visitors from the United Kingdom, Croatia, US, Germany, France, the Republic of Korea, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain and Japan.
Especially large increase was achieved by guests from Spain, so that from January to the end of May 2015 a total of 7451 Spaniards stayed in Dubrovnik, which is an increase of 49 percent in arrivals.
Most guests were staying in Dubrovnik hotels that achieved an increase of 4 percent. The increase in private accommodation is registered as well, the total of 35 percent.
