The second edition of Dubrovnik outdoor festival will bring fun and challenging outdoor activities, education, multi-day adventure tours and sporting events. Festival will take place in Dubrovnik region from 14th to 20th of May 2018.
‘Dubrovnik outdoor festival has a goal to reveal natural beauties of Dubrovnik region and its surroundings to active holiday visitors. Our festival promotes healthy lifestyle while having fun with different outdoor activities like hiking, biking, sea kayaking and climbing. It is our desire to show and inspire people to enjoy adventure activities in the south of Croatia. Local food, hidden natural beauties and various adventure activities of this region will surely leave all our visitors breathless’, Zoran Ateljević and Goran Jerković, owners and the festival creators, wrote on the official web page of the festival.
2018 edition of Dubrovnik outdoor festival will offer various seminars and workshops which will promote importance of safety in adventure tourism. Within festival, Croatian Chamber of Economy and Croatian Mountain Rescue Service will organize adventure tourism workshop for guides. The workshop will be held in Konavle region, on 14th and 15th of May 2018.
With the help of the World Adventure Travel Organization (ATTA) Dubrovnik outdoor festival 2018 will host different adventure tourism and sport specialized lecturers. Participants will have an opportunity to find out about different topics regarding international adventure guides standards, outdoor sport fitness training, different adventure sport activities in tourism, importance of mountain rescue service, safety standards in adventure tourism and more.
This year festival program will also bring the second international sea kayaking workshop which will be held in Dubrovnik from 14th to 19th of May 2018 with International Sea Kayaking Guide Association (ISKGA).
Adventure race Dubrovnik for two team members, which will combine different sport disciplines such as sea kayaking, running and abseiling will take place on 19th of May 2018.
The closing weekend of the festival will offer various adventurous activities in Konavle region as well as fun outdoor race, slack line workshop, village Olympics and final party.
