Studio Beluga’s project ‘Guidoo Info Guide System’ began in March of last year and is the first interactive guide to the touristic offer of the City of Dubrovnik and its surroundings. Recently returned statistics show that the number of people using the guide has exceeded all expectations for the interactive totems, of which there are nine in the area. The total number of clicks on the touch screens amounts to 1, 710, 213.
The totems provide a modern marketing tool using up to date technology as well as information on what’s on offer in the area all in one place. The totems are placed in locations that are frequently visited by tourists in order to maximise their reach and evidence suggests that those using Guidoo are most interested in the gastronomic offer of the area, parties, traditional products and day trips. The success of the guide system further demonstrates that visitors to Dubrovnik intensely search for information needed during their visit upon arrival.
The team from Studio Beluga are delighted with the guide’s success and have revealed that the application operating the network will be further developed for next season allowing booking to made through the totem. Expansion across Croatia is slowly taking place, two totems have been installed at Zagreb Airport with plans to take the project to neighbouring countries too.
