Immerse Yourself in Music at The Renaissance Garden of The Beautiful Villa Bunić-Kaboga

The Renaissance Garden is a multimedia project based on a contemporary interpretation of cultural heritage. It is performed by The Rest is Music NGO with the support of the Caboga Stiftung Foundation and the City of Dubrovnik, traditionally in the authentic ambience of the renovated 16th century Villa Bunić-Kaboga.

This year’s edition is symbolically entitled Amaryllis. The first of four of this year’s performances will take place on July 19, at 9 p.m., bringing an unconventionally conceived program through intermedia performance using live musical performances. The music repertoire covers a wide range from the Renaissance to the 21st century contemporary authors as well as archival materials that outline the protagonists of Dubrovnik salons of the past.

Through the magical scenery and legends of Dubrovnik summer villas, their gardens become the favourite gathering places for locals and foreign guests, as they once were for the former Dubrovnik aristocracy.

The roll of the artistic leadership once more falls upon Ivana Jelača, pianist and creative leader of the RIM organization, who will be performing with the soprano Marija Lešaja and the flutist Ines Ivanjek in the chamber ensemble. Marojica Bijelić, a longtime associate of the RIM organization will be hosting the events.

Performances in the Summer Villa Bunić-Kaboga: July 19th /July 26th /August 2nd /August 9th at 9 p.m.  All additional information about the event, tickets and transport can be found here.
