In the end of the month the American HBO filming crew engaged on the mega popular series the Game of Thrones that won a series of prestigious film awards arrives to Dubrovnik. Between September 27 to October 7, Dubrovnik and the surrounding area will be the set for its Season.
The return of the crew has been confirmed by the City of Dubrovnik and the Embassy Films Agency. The reunion of the people of Dubrovnik and the American film makers was announced during last year’s filming throughout the City, Lokrum Island, Dubac and other areas by the producer Frank Doelger and the executive producer and co-author Daniel B. Weiss.
The regular acting crew, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, and Richard Madden, gets 14 new members in Season 3. Among them is a teenage superstar Thomas Sangster that won the hearts of audience in a hit romantic comedy Love Actually. The new series will also see the British actor Tobias Menzies best known for his role of Brutus in the popular TV series Rome.
The Game of Thrones attracted 8 million viewers, equal response is expected next year as 10 new episodes from Season 3 will be broadcast in the end of March.
