Internet For All?

The Croatian government  is to  create a new company that will help to liberalise the internet market and bring  order to the management of its infrastructure. It is hoped that with the creation of a new primary network that internet will become cheaper and faster and available to the majority of households.

Minister for Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure Siniša Hajdaš Dončić believes that there is the potential for 75 per cent of Croatia to be covered by the primary network, and the new company would take on the management of the optical networks used by state run companies such as Croatian Rail and gas company Plinacro. Minister Hajdaš Dončić told press that the aim of the proposed project was, “That the primary infrastructure or primary network  is available even  in rural parts of Croatia.”
