Due to artist illness, the concert of Lana Kos announced for 1st of August is cancelled. Instead, Domagoj Dorotic, accompanied by Lana Bradic on the piano, will perform in Rectors Palace Atrium at 9:30 pm with the programme consisting of Italian canzone and opera arias.
Domagoj Dorotic is an opera soloist and lead tenor in National Theatre in Zagreb who had the honour of singing the Croatian anthem at a ceremony of Croatia’s reception in the EU. His first appearance in front of the Dubrovnik Festival audience was this year, at a concert in front of St. Blaise Church with baritone Leo Košavić and Slovenian Philharmonic under the baton of Uros Lajovic and also at the Opening Ceremony of this year’s Dubrovnik Summer Festival, when he performed the aria Nessun Dorma from the top of Orlando’s column which delighted the audience.
On 1st of August, the audience will have the opportunity to hear him sing that same well-known aria from Puccinis’ opera Turandot and arias E lucevan le stelle and Recondita Armonia from Tosca by the same composer. Refund for those who bought tickets for Lana Kos’s concert can be done at the Festival Box office, Od Sigurate 1. The tickets can also be exchanged for Domagoj Dorotic’s concert.
