In its July edition the Japanese wedding magazine “25 ans wedding magazine” whose team visited Dubrovnik in May this year, published a story about Dubrovnik in 16 pages. It is a high quality magazine, the oldest one in Japan that has existed since 1986, and is published in 70.000 copies.
Numerous newlyweds who say ‘Yes’ in Dubrovnik are the best proof of the popularity of the city under the hill of Srdj that is becoming their favourite wedding destination. In Dubrovnik they discover magical setting, excellent offer, romance at every step and the wedding of their dreams coming true. The biggest number of newlyweds comes in Dubrovnik from Great Britain, followed by Ireland, USA, Slovenia, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as by Croatian citizens getting married outside their resident cities, most often within a close circle of friends, best man and maid. Since Japanese couples like getting married abroad, after the story from the magazine, we are expecting them in Dubrovnik!
This year, beside numerous articles, two tourist guides were published about Dubrovnik and Croatia, after their author had stayed in Dubrovnik, in organization of Croatian Tourist Board, Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board and City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board receives dozens of TV crews and journalists from Japan. At this very moment, the Japanese crew from TV Asahi is filming the show Going on the roads of the world about sights, beauties and customs of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area.
