As well as the historic Old Town, blue Adriatic Sea and gorgeous weather in summer, Dubrovnik is perhaps most well known for its water polo team – Jug. This weekend the club celebrated its 90th year in style with a charity ball held at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel.
Well known faces from sport, politics, business and the media joined the players of one of Europe’s most successful clubs for a an evening to remember. Croatian cellist and face of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Ana Rucner, performed at the event kicking off the evening’s music. Throughout the course of the night raffles were held with prizes ranging from holidays to laptops or wine, all raising money for a good cause.
The highlight of the night for many was a performance by Croatian pop mega star Severina who took to the stage at around midnight to perform her biggest hits. The dance floor was busy all night making for a fantastic party atmosphere.
