Kumpanija Dancers

As part of the feast day of St. Joseph on March 19th and Vela Luka’s  Borough Day, the folklore society Kumpanija held its largest annual performance in front of the church of St. Joseph for locals and visitors.

For the twelfth time since the group’s reformation in 2001 the group performed choreography by Mr. Milan Oreb. The ceremony began with a vocal performance by members followed by traditional Vela Luka dances performed by 76 members. Dressed in traditional clothing the group danced to the accordion played by Ivan Marinovic. The final dance titled ‘Dance of Colour’ received a large ovation from the crowd as reward for the hard work of Kumpanija.
