‘Listen to Food, Taste Music!’ See You in Ston on 9th Kinookus!

The ninth edition of the Ston food film festival Kinookus (Cinetaste) explores the relationship between music and food: from traditional songs related to farming/agriculture to music genres created under difficult conditions of slave labour, from famous classical music composers and their dietary habits and passions to today’s chefs-musicians who combine global music tastes and local flavors.

We have come across the idea for this year’s FFF in the film, the winner of the 3 rd Festival edition, “Mugaritz BSO”, directed by Felipe Ugarte, which is about a great Spanish chef Andonio Luis Aduriz and his culinary creations inspired by music.

The name of the Association – Kinookus (Cinetaste) – implies a thematic conjunction of food and film and the development of aesthetic taste for beauty and good, for the art of film and for art in general. Kinookus also means education in the sense of awakening and refining the senses for rare and forgotten tastes (aesthetic and gastronomic), especially those that are in danger of becoming extinct in a globalized, homogenus world.
