Twenty-seven jury members came to the restaurant Villa Korduna in Mali Ston on Tuesday to witness a beautiful love story. Malvasia Tezoro Crvik 2013 fell in love with the Ston Oyster! This romantic story started during an event called ‘Blind Date’, which was a part of the Dubrovnik Festiwine. On the ‘Blind Date’, the jury tasted Malvasia Tesoro and 12 more wines from Dubrovnik-Neretva County. They decided that the Malvasia Tezoro Crvik 2013 is the best white wine that best ‘agrees’ with the oysters from Mali Ston. And Korta Katarina rose 2013 (Plavac Mali and Zinfandel) was named the best rose wine for the oysters.
Five members of the jury composed of members of the board of Dubrovnik FestiWine Trophy in 2015, foreign and Croatian judges, sponsors, media members and wine lovers, tasted 13 samples – eight white wines and five rose wines.
They tasted Malvasia Metkovic 2014, Grk Bire 2014, Provic chardonnay 2013, PZ Putnikovic Sveta Ana 2013, Posip Rizman 2013, Malvasia Tezoro Crvik 2013, Grk Cebalo 2013, Posip Marelic Sveti Ivan 2012, Merlot rose Fiora Crvik 2013, Rizman Rusula rose 2013, Korta Katarina rose 2013, Milos Stagnum rose 2013 and Rose Volarevic Syrtis Premium 2013.
