Did you know that the famous traveller Marko Polo was in fact born on the island of Korcula? Its a fact that the local people are very proud of and on the 27th April they will host the Marco Polo Challenge, a triathlon co-organised by the City of Korcula, Korcula Tourist Board and Triathlon Club Split.
As well as the main event a charity 10 km run ‘Big Heart’ will take place with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle together with the ‘Korcula-Peljesac Heart’ association. A special focus this year has been placed on younger participants who will be able to take part in inter school duathlons and triathlons.
