Marin Drzic Theatre, from Dubrovnik, introduced itself last Monday to the Turkish city of Bursa with the one of their most successful plays – “The Brothers Karamazov”. Dubrovnik’s theatre was taking part in the “1st International Balkan Countries Theatre Festival – Balkan Breeze” and was the only theatre to represent Republic of Croatia.
Fyodor Dostoevsky’s play, directed by Dejan Projkovski, was awarded by a lengthy applause from the audience at the Vefik Ahmet Pasha Theatre. Besides good reactions and standing ovations of the appreciative public, the performance also received outstanding reviews among theatre critics.
It was a great honour for the Marin Drzic Theatre to be the only theatre to represent Republic of Croatia on this festival.
