Hanna Katrina Jensen from Denmark is the millionth passenger who has landed in Dubrovnik. She came with Finnair flight from Helsinki accompanied by her husband Anton.
At the Dubrovnik airport, the couple was greeted by hosts – representatives of the airport and the tourist Boards of Dubrovnik and Konavle, Romana Vlasic, and Frano Herendija. After the welcoming speech, surprised guests received gifts.
‘I’m shocked and speechless – said Hanna, adding that she is glad she chose Dubrovnik as a holiday destination.
The millionth passenger landed at the airport one week earlier than in 2014.
‘Millionth passenger arrived much sooner because of the better touristic season. By the end of July, we recorded an increase of 6.6 percent in turnovers, which is above expectations. We have more visitors from the EU, and by the end of the year I hope that we will exceed one million and 700 thousand passengers’ – Said Luetic.
