Mljet National Park Welcomes 100,000th Visitor!

On Thursday afternoon at approximately 13 15, Mljet National Park welcomed its 100,000th visitor of 2013. Kirsten Raun from Copenhagen arrived on the island to visit the park on her sister’s recommendation together with her friend Mette Schmidt. The park’s marketing manager Diana Dabelić greeted Kirsten upon her arrival awarding her with a year long park membership for two people as well as a free buggy ride around the Great Lake and souvenir of the island.

This is the first time in the park’s recorded history that visitor numbers have reached 100,000 in one year, the closest being 2004 when 99, 662 people came to the park.
