New records in August: 1,880,553 people stayed in Dubrovnik-Neretva County

According to the announcements of tourist boards of Croatian cities and municipalities, Dubrovnik-Neretva county made a new record with 349,419 arrivals and 1,880,553 overnight stays, which is 5 percent more arrivals and 3 percent more overnight stays than in August last year. Since the beginning of the year until the end of August, there were 1,144,958 arrivals and 5,294,827 overnight stays, which is an increase in arrivals of 7 percent in overnight stays, and 4 percent compared to the same period last year. Domestic tourists have made 9 percent, and foreign tourists 4 percent more overnight stays in 2014.

Most overnights were made by tourists from the United Kingdom, Germany, Croatia, France, Polland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy, the US, Norway…

Since the beginning of the year hotels recorded 2,479,494 overnight stays, which is 1 percent more than during the previous year; while the households recorded 2,123,284 overnight stays, which is an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last year.
