From the 1st to the 9th of July, the Epidaurus Festival will bring music and art to Konavle, just south of Dubrovnik for the seventh year in a row.
This year’s festival opens with a night of flamenco and will mark Croatia’s historic entry to the European Union. The Alma Gitana ensemble will open the festival at Villa Banac, performing on the beautiful terrace. Entrance is free to the opening concert with tickets for all others costing just 50 HRK for adults and 30 HRK for children.
Visitoirs to the festival can expect a wide choice in performances, culminating with Ernest Hemingway’s ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ which will be performed on the closing night of the festival by theatre group Merlin in what is sure to be a must see show.
