According to the national system for the tourists’ check-in and check-out eVisitor, two millionth overnight stay in Dubrovnik was this year realized on July 16, seven days earlier than in 2018, which confirms the excellent tourist preseason and season. From 1 January to 16 July 2019, there were 697,096 arrivals recorded in Dubrovnik, an increase of 19% over the previous year and 2,010,802 overnight stays which is 8% more than during the same period last year. Since the beginning of the year, Dubrovnik hosted the most visitors from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, France, Croatia, Spain, Australia, Finland, Ireland and Canada.
In the first 15 days of July, 106,550 arrivals were recorded in Dubrovnik, or 4% more than in July 2018, and 365,807 overnight stays were realized, which marks an increase of 3% over the same period last year. The largest number of visitors this month came from the United Kingdom, USA, France, Norway and Australia.
“We expect stable growth of tourist traffic not just in the continuation of the main tourist season, but also by the end of the year, “commented the director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Romana Vlašić.
