“The City of Dubrovnik is yet again amongst the best! After organizing the first ever conference for digital nomads in Croatia with our partners, we are starting one new, completely different concept to show that Dubrovnik is indeed an ideal destination for digital nomads,” – they wrote on the City of Dubrovnik Facebook page.
The world’s first digital nomads competition started last Friday. Ten lucky winners will have the opportunity to live and work in Dubrovnik free of charge for a whole month, as destination promoters. The project was started by the City of Dubrovnik with the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, and, according to the Total Croatia News portal, will last from April 23 to May 23. All interested nomads can apply for the competition until the end of March. The lucky ten will, besides residing in our beautiful city, attend design thinking workshops to help develop the city’s strategy towards nomads in the future, and a strategic direction for the city in terms of achieving sustainability and fighting the pandemic.
The City is organizing this project in cooperation with the Saltwater company, the initiator of the conference on digital nomads held in Dubrovnik in October 2020.
