Something horrible happened today nearby Cavtat, small town half an hour drive away from Dubrovnik – a fire horror.
In a quart named Mećajac fire erupted today about 1 pm. Two tanks, almost all of the county fire department, and two Canadair managed to stop maelstrom in about two and a half hours.
This sad news, where luckily were no casualties, is a perfect opportunity to warn that one should take care when in nature – do not throw cigarette butts, do not light fires in the open air with no control and in each case, as soon as you notice something suspicious, call out the fire brigade!
