The biggest event in the Catholic Church’s calendar is Easter, and with it fast approaching people in Dubrovnik are starting to make their preparations. Painting Easter eggs is something that is done all over the world but rarely with the intricacy and sense of tradition that it is in Dubrovnik.
People are invited to learn more about the skill and try their hand at it by local association Desa. Workshops on egg painting and palm weaving will take place over the next couple of weeks at Desa’s studio in Lazareti near the Old Town. Palm weaving will take place on March 18-20th from 8 00- 10 30 am and egg painting classes will be taught on March 25th-27th from 4-6 pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills as well as a chance to find out more about Dubrovnik traditions, be sure not to miss it!
