Pelješac Bridge to Become a Running Track Once Again

Registration opens for one of Croatia’s most anticipated races

Once a year, Croatia’s most beautiful bridge belongs entirely to runners. Registration is now open for one of the country’s most anticipated evening races: on Friday, May 29, the Pelješac Bridge will once again become a running course for 500 lucky participants taking part in the fifth edition of the Pelješac Bridge Run.

Held on the eve of Croatia’s Statehood Day, the race has become a cult event for runners from across the region. Its appeal lies not only in the course itself, but in the rare opportunity it offers: pedestrian access to the bridge is normally strictly prohibited, making this a unique chance to experience the monumental structure from a completely different perspective.

A Race Marked in Calendars a Year in Advance

“For many runners, this is a race they mark in their calendars a full year ahead. It is not just about the kilometres covered, but about the emotion of running across a bridge that symbolises the connection of an entire country, while enjoying a spectacular sunset high above the sea. It is simply an experience you never forget,” said Alen Bošković, Director of Du Motion.

The race is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. Participants will run a 5.5-kilometre route across the bridge and back. Running alongside the illuminated pylons, with panoramic views over the Bay of Mali Ston, offers a rare privilege: direct contact with one of Europe’s most impressive bridges.

Only 500 Places Available

Due to safety protocols and the exclusive nature of the event, the number of entries is strictly limited. Registration is available via the official Du Motion website.

Those wishing to be part of this unforgettable evening are advised to secure their place at the starting line on time, as the race traditionally sells out within just 24 hours.

The entry fee is €40 and includes a race bib, official T-shirt, finisher medal, electronic timing and refreshments.
