The iconic Excelsior Hotel and beloved Dubrovnik landmark now begins a new chapter in its storied history, unveiling the final stage of interior refurbishment. Hotel is officially opened last week and now it offers pure luxury. Excelsior has 158 accommodation units, including 139 double rooms and 19 luxury suites, located in two buildings: Villa Odak from 1913 and the contemporary ‘The Tower’.
The project has engaged Croatian architectural studio BF i engaged for the project, in collaboration with the studio Franić Šekoranja. As the ALH team told us, ‘this collaboration continues the philosophy and the idea of implementation of the Croatian design and product investments in their hotels, since the compound Croatian products and high quality services at international standards have a positive effect on the competitiveness of Croatian tourism’.
The renovation was worth 80 million Kunas, and at the opening ceremony were, among others, Iris Fontbon, wife of late Andronica Lukšić, and his grandson Davor Lukšić and his wife Cristel Carrisi.
