Exhibition celebrating 50 years of Romana Milutin Fabris’s career to be opened on Thursday, July 19 at 9.00 pm in the Sponza Palace atrium.
The opening of the exhibition of paintings and tapestries by Romana Milutin Fabris, an artist from Dubrovnik, will take place in the Sponza Palace Atrium on Thursday, July 19th at 9 pm. The exhibition ‘Romana 50 Years Later’ is part of the special programme of the 63rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival and it is organized in collaboration with the Croatian State Archive in Dubrovnik.
The Dubrovnik artist Romana Milutin Fabris studied in Split, Zagreb, Belgrade and Salzburg, where she collaborated with Oskar Kokoschka. In her 50-year long career she has held more than a hundred solo exhibitions and participated in numerous prestigious collective exhibitions. Besides painting, she also creates tapestries and her works can be seen in a number of museums, galleries, private collections and public spaces all around the world. Romana cherishes Dubrovnik’s atmosphere in her unique use of seductive colours, full of ‘modest luxury’ and reserved and refined beauty, using the motifs of the Doll, St. Blaise, Madonna and the Bride.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until August 2nd 2012.
