Standing ovation for ‘Romeo and Giulietta’!

Premiere of the play ‘Romeo and Giulietta’, directed by Jagos Markovic, was performed last night at the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival in Skocibuha. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare’s most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Piece was first performed at Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 1962, directed by Franco Zeffirelli.

Last night ‘Romeo and Giulietta’ was enjoyed by many foreign visitors who had the titles on their mobile devices and tablets. The application was developed in collaboration with Vipnet and UX Passion agencies, and had its premiere last year at the 64th Games.

The program also includes three performances – 26th, 27th and 28th of July at 9.30 pm in Skocibuha. Tickets for all performances are sold out.
