Popular Dubrovnik jazz artist Ines Tričković is going to hold a concert “Runjić in Blue“ on Thursday, September 24, with her sextet on the plateau in Lazareti, starting at 8:30 p.m. This is the fifth, jubilee concert performed by our fellow citizen, a world-renowned jazz musician, in her hometown. The program will include timeless hits by one of the most beloved Croatian songwriters and composers, Zdenko Runjić, whose recognizable expression has created countless hits loved by many.
The program that is about to be performed was awarded by the Croatian music award “Porin” for the best performance of a jazz composition. She will perform the program alongside musicians Luka Žužić (trombone and arrangements), Grgur Savić (saxophone), Hrvoje Galler (piano), Zvonimir Šestak (bass) and Kruno Levačić (drums).
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to hold this fifth, jubilee concert in Dubrovnik. The year has been extremely difficult for us musicians and I consider every concert that we manage to hold in front of the audience as a gift. I am so proud that we will all gather in the original line-up that also participated in this Porin award-winning project. I have nothing to tell you except to come to Lazareti on Thursday and enjoy Runjić’s works in our interpretation,” said Ines.
Since the concert is part of the Good Food Festival organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, there will be no shortage of sweet snacks. With the purchased ticket, each visitor will enjoy handmade pralines by Mrs. Biljana Milina from Pupnat. The capacity of the audience is limited, and the concert is organized according to the recommendations of the Croatian Civil Protection Headquarters. As in all previous years, the concert is supported by the City of Dubrovnik and the Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik, and the production of the concert is signed by the Event Lab agency.
