Seaplane network expands: From Split to Dubrovnik By Plane

From Dubrovnik to Split for 45 minutes…until this January it was just a dream. But from the February 1st, the dream will come true as these two Dalmatian cities will be connected by seaplane. European Coastal Airlines has opened sales for flights to/from Dubrovnik, and inaugural flight is scheduled for February 1. The flight will last 15 minutes less than one hour, and promotional fares are available for just 39 EUR (one way).
This is a great information for all those who ever visited Dubrovnik and tried to find a ‘fast connection’ from the Pearl of the Adriatic to Split.
The two cities were connected by bus and catamaran which meant three-hour drive one way. Now you will be able to start your trip at 2.15 pm in Dubrovnik and to have lunch in Split, to explore the rich nightlife in the city under the Marjan mountain and to go back at 12.30 pm next day. Or to travel somewhere else because from Split by seaplane you can also fly to Pula, Ancona and Pescara in Italy, and to islands Korcula, Lastovo, Mali Losinj and Hvar (Jelsa).
