If you have a sweet tooth, then the new Good Food Festival program has your name written all over it. Held now for the seventh consecutive time, this popular event, organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist board, will last from September 24 to September 27.
As it was revealed a few days ago, the entire program begins on Thursday, September 24 at 10 a.m. with a workshop of traditional desserts at the DEŠA Association, where a juicy cake made of almonds, citrus fruits and lavender will be prepared.
In addition to desserts, all good food lovers will be able to enjoy quality street food. Starting on Thursday from 2 p.m., Dubrovnik Brewery offers a delicious spectrum of BarBaQ burgers that go amazing with their craft beer. On the first evening of the Good Food Festival at the Lazaret plateau at 8.30 p.m., Ines Tričković Sextet will perform a concert ‘Runjić in blue’ with the marvellous theme of ‘Jazz and Chocolate’.
There will be a handful of food delicacies at the Good Food Festival, one of them being the ‘Fisherman’s Dinner’ at the Orsan restaurant on the second day of the festival, starting at 7 p.m. Meals will be prepared with locally grown ingredients from Gornje Selo.
Fans of Asian street food wouldn’t want to miss Urban & Veggie restaurant on September 26, from 7.30 p.m., where all the vegetarians out there will find many dishes to their liking.
As pointed out by the director of the Dubrovnik Tourist board, Ana Hrnić, all events will be accompanied by cultural and entertainment content as well. Visitors will have the opportunity to see an interesting gastronomic film in Cinemas Dubrovnik, enjoy live music or choose a fascinating gastronomic tour introducing all the specialties of the Dubrovnik cuisine in a city walk-through. An entertaining concert, featuring the DSO Brass & Percussion Septet, on 27 September, at 7 p.m., will round off this year’s Good Food Festival while at the same time marking the World Tourism Day.
